no.2

New ideas start getting shape after the tutorial. This concept came up due to the idea of the basic starting point of this event. Each artist receives a blank A4 130gsm cartiridge paper sheet and produces a drawing/painting/whatever they want and donate it to the gallery. Here in this layout we are trying to represent the mystery and expectation surrounding the blank space and it's possibilities, also by supplying the names of these artist some of which are very well known names.

We are very open and would love some feedback from anyone who wishes to contribute!!!

  1. maybe it is a step by step revealing?
by leafing through the publication step by step the drawings get revealed?

or maybe the drawings are shown but the idea of revealing is mainly visualised in the typographic elements?

maybe its the logo (as the fundraiser helps the drawing room to continue and therefore the money of the fundraiser 'builds' the gallery (logo ...)

maybe the conscious use of white space as you are doing in your above rough could be used more effective if it was in the centre of the artist - so the artists would form the 'frame' of the A4 drawing and that that would be all copy shown on the cover (so the logo is more on the inside etc ... )

maybe the idea of the reavealing could also be visualised through the size of the paper that the pages start with A4 and become bigger or the other way round? and therefore parts of the information is revealed earlier than other parts?

... thinking as I am writing!
